Third Annual �ooKTea. � ODK Circle President Sharon Faircloth described the Dean of the Business School as �an "inspiration to all who know him." Folwell accepted the award on behalf. of his teaching colleagues at .Cl,lmpbell. and he comment� ed that the outstanding thing about Campbell is the stu� dents. University President Dr. Norman 'A. Wiggins said that one of Folwell's attributes was that he is unselfish. "To be a great teacher." he said. "you have to be unselfish, you cannot be a small person, You must sincerely take pride in the success ofothers. Toin Folwell has reason �to take pride in the success of a lot of people. They are peo�ple at the head of companies or making their way up the ladder beca'use they were motivated and inspired by Folwell." � Wiggins said that 'he has seen Folwell in action for 14 years, and he described his success �with the Southeast�ern Trust School. He Said, "Folwell brings these men to�gether into a class,' stimu�lates them to study; and causes them to feel like a part of Campbell University and they continue to be a part. "I've. also �learned some�thing of his habits. I like to see. lights burning at night. and Professor _ FolweU's lights burn at night: he's there working." Wiggins went 011 to say that � it is teachers who are the "greatest force for moral good,"� and � that Folwell's dedication to teaching. like so many others, is � what �makes him a great teacher. Her office focuses on thre .f t d t e areas 0 s u en serv�ices. .She willoffer academ.ic ad-. v_1 sement to. all students. par�tlcul 1 th t d t 'th ar y ose s u en s WI acad~mic ,Problems. This is� not .to replace the. services of advisors to their students. Mrs. Bean's academic advise~ ment. rathe. r. is a service to both advisors and stu� d ents in that she has more � d � time to evote to testmg �and d � _a v1sement. This is the hallmark. .of Folwell. He is a man who �knows .his purpose and goes the first mile o( duty as well as the second mile of serv�ice."
